On Wednesday, the FDA authorized third-dose boosters of Pfizer's Covid vaccine for the same groups. Any Pfizer recipient aged 18-64 with a high risk of severe illness or Covid exposure in the workplace may also choose to get a booster six months after their second dose, based on their own individual risk and benefit. Americans 65 and older, long-term nursing home residents and adults aged 50-64 years with medical conditions like diabetes or cancer will now become booster-eligible six months after their second Pfizer dose.
